Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identification of areas to be developed in the central province which comes under the scope of the Provincial Ayurvda Department, and preparation of development action plans
  • Obtaining the approval of the chief secretary/ secretary of finance commission/ secretary of the treasury for the relevant action plan
  • Calling for estimates for approved projects, approval of estimates, approval of procurement documents, calling for quotations and awarding of tenders
  • Inspection and reviewing of  the progress of constructions
  • Obtaining financial provisions, inspection and payment of bills, preparation of expenditure reports
  • Attending provincial council meetings and providing answers/solutions/ information for problems and issues discussed at the meetings
  • Implementing Ayurvedic preventive services
  • Matters relating to traditional Ayurvedic professionals
  • Conducting mobile Ayurvedic clinics
